X FACTOR HYSTERIA!

I am hysterical! Hysterical I tell you, HYSTERICAL!!!!!! As you know, or you should do by now anyway, I am a huge fan of most things T.V. particularly at this time of year when all the good stuff comes back on - even if it is the last ever spooks....... but we shan't dwell on that, instead we shall rejoice in X factor, especially as my lovely Stefan has now made it to the judges houses - yes! The judges house no less - he has a 50/50 chance of being on the live finals - I am so proud of him! He is part of new boy band called Nu Vibe who I have to say, were pretty good tonight - Good luck Stefan, I can barely wait until next week...... And, this almost makes up for me not being able to watch the new season of Glee because we don't have bloody Sky, damn you Sky, damn you.

So the printing frenzie continues.......

I am trying to use my time sensibly whilst I still can, in between the personal statement rescues - of which I have done many today (and on a Sunday too! ), I am furiously printing my little heart out in preparation for the market stalls I have booked through the next few months - well Christmas doesn't pay for itself now does it?! And well if I fail to sell anything I can always give my creations away as gifts so it's a win win situation isn't it? Well for me anyway!!!!!

Today I have printed up 5 cushion covers and started some new make-up bags, but I haven't photographed these yet, however, last week I printed cloth bags and made framed prints so here are these.......

THE CURRENT STATE OF MY WORKROOM!

We are Buzzing again.....

So we have started the new term with our usual opener - the wasp project. I actually really value this project as my boys and girls are for once, forced to draw, and more often than not actually discover that there is some considerable value in it, which is always a relief! Wasp is also the one I enjoy working with in folios the most, and by the looks of things so far, everyone has produced something rather special this year, so may the good work continue!

My new gang - well, up until Christmas anyway when half of them will be replaced with the specialist foundation students - but for now they have to put up with me!

Bye, bye, Brooke....

Our lovely, lovely technician Brooke left us last week for pastures new, I have no idea how we will cope without her, blimey, she made life so unbelievably bearable it was heavenly, it gets so ridiculously hectic at college that having a willing and cheery pair of hands to deal with the endless organising, screen printing paraphernalia and general chaos makes for a happy and productive student (and staff) body - I hope to goodness that the powers that be can see the benefit of a Brooke and let us replace her with a Sammi.... But Brooke! I will miss you and wish you all the love and luck in the world - now go, go and make us proud!!!!

we will also miss her rather amazing and somewhat experimental baking skills - beetroot brownies and avocado cake were the norm (!) - but this, this magnificent parting gift from her really was a triumph - and yes, OMG, it tasted good - as you can see, by the time I got my camera out it was almost gone, just imagine it whole, piled high with butter cream and fresh strawberries!!!

Frustration....

I got into it first and then Ivan (Mr Bicknell) cuckooed in on it and now I don't get the chance to solve the ones in his newspaper everyday - so imagine my glee when I happen across this at home the other day! HA! I could have done them all!!!!! Sudoku - you will get addicted......

Let's make up.....

In preparation for both the new project with the BTEC Firsts ("The 14 year olds") and some new market stall stock (I have 2 in Petersfield next month), I have been busy using up what is left of my precious spare time making make-up bags and some more over sized purses, the marking and UCAS references will soon consume all my out of college time (I have already marked nearly 20 sketchbooks and it's only day 3 - damn that holiday work!), so I will have to move fast if I want to get anything else done now!!

Simple square ones...

Fifties styly ones.....

Big snap frame purses....

All for sale......!

It really is the end of the summer....

So just to confirm that the new term is now upon us...........

My desk is already covered in rubbish..

My annual bundle of stationary appeared......

And, well, this sums it up really - left for dead outside number 1!
