Last weekend was much more fun!

First of all it was my Mum's birthday, so we got to go shopping and eating which is always great! And err, no, I didn't go anywhere near Jigsaw and their groovy satin pumps, or a lovely  linen dress in House of Fraser Ivan (Mr Bicknell), just in case you were worrying.......

Satin Trainer - Jigsaw, Flats and Pumps
mmmmm!

We also had afternoon tea on a rooftop which doubled up as a water garden - lovely!

(This roof-top water garden was originally designed and installed by the late Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe in 1958 for what was then Harvey's of Guildford. The garden, seating and viewing platforms were spectacular. The public could walk through the pond garden on stepping stones, and a waterfall cascaded down the south side of the building. Eventually though, the garden grew overgrown and was closed.

In 2000, the store was taken over by House of Fraser and an ambitious building project was undertaken, resulting in the atrium in the front of the store. At this time the garden was re-made in the spirit of the original.)

And on Sunday I got to do my favourite thing - make stuff!
This time - snap frame purses - much trickier than I thought it would be, but after much perseverance, an assorted bunch of rude words and an inordinate amount of escapee glue - I managed something half decent! Wanna buy one?! Original prints, great craftsmanship, made with lots of love and care........

Cutting out the fabric....

Printing the fabric - which takes a ridiculously looooong time...

Making the finished article - far too tricky!

3 down - more to come....

Oh, and did I mention that they are reversible?! Too clever by half - that's me!!!!!!

To see how to make these the professional way, check out http://www.u-handbag.com/ - she's very clever!!
