Ellie the magnificent cake baker.

Having an exceptional cake baker in the department is a dangerous thing - my hips for a start do not benefit from the consumation of cake and the sugar rush that the students experience is, well, a rush! But we love the cakes and we love Ellie. Today a feast appeared in the form of springly gooey chocolate cake, cheese straws that melted in your mouth, cupcakes with lollipops popping out of them and golden syrup laden flapjacks. Oh how our eyes grew as they were set out in front of us! But there was a serious side to today as all proceeds were going towards the CLIC Sargent charity which focuses on caring for children with cancer. Ellie has had some personal experience of this and it is impressive to see her give back to the charity with such vigour and positivity. In one hour she had made £140.00.
